If you will be late, you MUST call your partners and the assignor to advise them of your status.  SCRA policy regarding tardiness is summarized as follows:

First Time – The first instance of being late results in a warning and a reminder.

Second Time– The second instance of being late results in a warning and a reminder.

Third Time– The third instance of being late results in a warning, a reminder, and a fine equal to one-half of the game fee for the game you are late for.

Forth Time– The fourth instance of being late results in a reminder, a fine equal to one-half of the game fee for the game you are late for, and to be eligible to be assigned additional SCRA games, you must attend a hearing in front of the SCRA board within 90 days.

Again, you are appreciated, and it is understood that extenuating circumstances occasionally arise.  But also please understand that it is very important to be on –time for your appointments.

In all cases, if there are extenuating circumstances for the turn back/down, you must notify the association in advance.  Waivers would apply for extenuating circumstances such as a medical situation or family emergency.

It is also understood that you may have sudden regular job requirements, abrupt business trips, unexpected family obligations, and other unforeseen issues.  However, in order to maintain a professional Referee organization for the customers, it is important to have games assigned to those who can be relied upon to be professional and arrive on time.
